Jennifer,
I used to make a turmeric/cashew water based dressing for coleslaw. I started missing it again, but instead of making the recipe, I just added about 1/2 teaspoon turmeric to about 1/8 cups of your ranch dressing, poured it on some shredded cabbage and added in about 2 tbs of raisans - it is unbelievably delicious!! I could happily eat this for dessert! haha As a bonus, it also has all the health befefits of turmeric. Thanks again for this recipe - it has certainly proven itself at my house, and I'm happy to have yet one more use for it! :)

Well, this was just the adaptation of another great recipe, so this wasn't hard to come up with in the scheme of things. :) Glad you liked it!

Jennifer,
I like to use soy sparingly, so I have been making my own soy-free, cashew/water dressings almost identical to this that are quite tasty but none so far that captures the creamy "Ranch" flavor like yours. I hadn't yet experimented with adding Dijon mustard (don't ask! haha), but I really think it's key, and you found just the right combination of ingredients. Thanks for figuring this out, as I'm sure you saved me much trial and error! It has already become a favorite at my house, and I think this would pass the flavor taste among even the pickiest of eaters! :)
