Back to life …

I know, I know — it’s been quiet around here for the past couple weeks.

A lot is going on in my world right now, including getting my coaching business launched (of course I’ve been coaching on a somewhat small scale for a long time now, but I’m slowly but surely revving up to start working with a lot more women — that’s my passion!), my son has been teething and now has a tiny cold, and … *sighs* … I got pink eye. It sounds like such a silly thing, and it’s not harmful, but my already sensitive eyes have really suffered. In fact, despite turning down the brightness on my iMac to its lowest setting, my eye hurt so badly that I couldn’t look at a computer monitor for well over a day, and I’m not quite back to normal yet. I actually missed sleep over this, sad but true, because my eyes are so sensitive that the one afflicted with this yuck teared, itched and hurt all night.

Couple all that with my usual lack of sleep (have I mentioned my son rarely sleeps? and while he’s been sick, he’s slept even less) and working with all my one-on-one clients, and you’ve got one very, very tired but still Lean Green Mama. :)

I’m back in action now, though, and I’ll be posting one of my favorite of all soup recipes in the next little while. (And I should note that I work very hard to get plenty of sleep whenever I can; it’s maybe the most important element of self-care I can think of besides eating well and staying active. I just am always having to work to stay caught up because of my son’s sleep pattern.)
